Archos introduces Titanium 70, 80, 97 and 101 extremely affordable Android 4.1 tablets
Archos is well known for offering affordable tablets but for the first time ever the manufacturer comes out with so good-looking ones. The most interesting of the pack is the Archos 97 titanium, wich sports a 9.7″ Retina-esque 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution (and not to mention the same screen size). It was unveiled a month ago and we already have a pretty good idea what the display looks like, from our hands-on with its quad-core sibling the Archos 97 Platinum.
The 97 titanium however is rocking a dual-core 1.6 GHz chipset with quad-core graphics.
It will be priced €249/$249/£199 without further details on availability.
The Archos 70, 80 and 101 titanium feature 7″,8″ and 10.1″ displays, run on Android Jelly Bean 4.1 and look to be direct competitors to the Kindle Fire, iPad mini and the onslaught of 10.1-inchers on the market.
The Archos 70 titanium will cost €119/$119/£99, the Archos 80 titanium €169/$169/£149 and the Archos 101 titanium will be €199/$199/£169.
